How to beat Ultimecia
You should have these items:
10-20 heros ( Cards )
10 holy warslion heart or punishment ( Weapons )auto-potionkamikazebe able to absorb holy and quakeauraUltima Weapon ( about 250,000 - 400,000 HP )
Ultima Weapon is at the bottom of the Underwater Research Facility, the place where you got Bahamut. There are pretty nasty enemies down there, so be careful, like it matters if you have everyone at level 100, which you should. Also, have Squall's Best Weapon equipped. First, you climb down the vine, then go hit the control panel, it will take off 4 points. In order to succeed, you need 10 points left over. Go down stairs, now go to the other control panel and take off 2 points. Go down and hit the control panel nearest to where you came down, take off 1. Now there is another control panel there, hit it and take 4 off, go through the door that opens and add 7 points back on. Go out and go down, take off 1 point from the control panel and go on the elevator. Take off 4 points to get past this door, then it's a matter of fighting/walking down to the bottom. When you get down there, kill off Squall then finish the battle/run away. Use raise to bring him back alive, and keep him in the yellow. Hit the control panel and after a long scene, you fight Ultima Weapon. The key to this battle is having Squall's Speed and Attack up. Use his D-Move on Ultima. It took me 4 limits to kill him.
Ultima Weapon ( an easier way )
Have Irvine at level 100. Cast aura on him. Then throw a hero on him. Now use the AP ammo. It does 9999 damage on each hit. Do this about 3-5 times and Ultima Weapon is dead. Make sure you draw ultima from him until you get 100 for each party member. Also draw Eden from him. Then kill him. If Squall has the Lion Heart it will almost instantly kill him.
Omega weapon ( about 1,000,000 - 1,200,000 HP )
I recommend using Squall, Irvine, & Rinoa.
Omega weapon is in Ultimecia's castle. He is in the room with the piano.
First put the party you want in front of the fountain near the piano room. Next take your other party and go up the big stairs at the entrance of the castle. Then take a right. Go to the door all the way on the end. Proceed down the stairs and pull the line hanging at the bottom of the staircase in the corner. The party members will look up at the bell leaving you 48 seconds to get to the piano room. Go to the green circle and switch to the other party members ( in front of the fountain ) .
Make sure you have encounter-none( Diablos ability ).Then enter the door into the piano room you will see Omega Weapon. Before fighting him make sure you replace encounters-none with auto-protec,HP=80%, etc... whatever it was. Now just go up to him and press square or x.
Before you go to fight him you should have at least these abilities unsupressed...

at least 20 heros ( see Cards )auraAuto-Potion ( have only x-potions or elixirs )Auto-Protect or Auto-ShellFirst off he will cast L5 Death. If any party members are at any L5 then junction 100 Deaths to status defense. Start off by putting double or triple around anyone but Squall. Next cast Aura on all 3 party members. Now throw a Hero on Squall. It really helps if you have the Lion Heart!( the Lion Heart does about 220,000-300,000 HP damage depending on how much damage is done when you trigger) You don't want to throw a hero on all party members at the same time. This way if they all wear off at the same time and its not your turn it is very possible he will kill your entire party with Terrace Break. With Irvine use his AP (armor piercing ) ammo which does 9999 HP damage on every hit. If you get lucky and his limit break bar goes slowly, you cant do up to 80,000 HP damage. With Rinoa's Angel Wing ( you can't control her, so make sure she only has meteor as an attack magic ), you can do 4000-7000 HP damage on every hit when she casts meteor. Just continue to use limit breaks and heros and you should be alright. Don't worry about healing because you'll have auto-potion. After you beat him you will get 250 AP.
*Note Omega Weapon will NOT unlock any of your powers*
Getting Gilgamesh's Card
After beating Quistis in cards play her in the cockpit of the garden. She has the Gilgamesh card. Refine the card for 10 Holy wars. ( Cards )
Shumi village side quest and other stuff
After talking to the elder and getting the phoenix pinion you will see that scene where the attendant is ordered to work on Laguna's statue.
Go to the shop and go to the statue if you see the attendant sulking in the corner your next side quest has begun. Talk to him , then the elder who will instruct you to take the moomba guarding his house to talk to attendant. Follow the moomba and watch it talk to attendant. Attendant will help now. Talk to him and he will say that the work will be faster if they had artisan helping them. Go to artisan and talk to him(The house nearest to the shop). He will refuse so go to Fisherman's horizon to meet the Artisans friend , the grease monkey found near where you fought the Galbadian soldiers. He will give you his moomba toy.Go back to Shumi village and see artisan again. This time he will agree after much convincing from the toy. Follow him to the shop and watch them work. Go see the elder and he will give you a Status Guard X 4. Its very important since Grashaboras card is so hard to obtain.Believe me it will help you later on.
Want to be an efficient killer in disc one. Play cards. Win as many tonberry cards as you can and convert them into chefs knives. Convert these chefs knives into death by Sirens Life recovery magic. Junction it on anyone who has Status attack and see T-rexaurs disappear before your very eyes with one blow. Its really cool.

Issue#1-In library shelf to the left. Don't change scenes where you see draw point for Esuna. Just go there and press on the shelf you can't miss it.
Issue#2-Can be bought at Esthar bookshop or if Angelo search is performed on Bahamut.
Issue#3-from master fisherman on FH. Before reaching the lift that carries you down to FH town proper you will see a ladder . Go down and look for master fisherman there sitting , still fishing. Talk to him and he will give you the issue. These magazines will be helpful if you run out of money and you need to buy something , They can be worth as much as 25750g
in any shop.
How to get the Lion Heart in disc 1

Dragon Fangs - T-Rexs in the training center( junction death to kill them instantly)
The best way to defeat Diablos is...
Junction 100 Demis to all party members under elemental defense. To do this you may have to wait until you have enough GFs to give everyone elemental defense. During battle just use GF and cure often. Also use demi on him and it will do a lot of damage + he will cure you.
